Re-imagined UI
Curb Health came with an ask to re-imageine their apps look and feel, having gone LIVE and started to onboard customers, the founder and team no longer believed the apps aesthetics reflected its purpose and aspirations.
Challenge
Re-design and enhance the User Interface and Brand look and feel of the existing app without out any amends or additions to the current user experience and journey flows.
Deliver new UI to be implemented across entire app. Consider all journeys/paths. Complete rebuild of page framework into Figma, including base/templated page sets and component build for all elements.
To work within an agressive timeline and budget constraints to meet a fast approaching funding round.
Approach
A full briefing, agreement, expectations, costings and timeline workshop was completed before kick-off of any work. Due to the fast paced and aggressive timelines, a pragmatic, flexible and structured approach was taken with regards deliverables. This manifested itself as daily scrums, agile working practises and fast paced (informed) decisioning. This set the known parameters and expectations for unknowns. A full breakdown of required, nice to haves and extra elements (visuals, elemenets and components) was produced in order to clarify and focus effort.
Understand the existing visual look and feel across existing app, discussing and interpreting the new requirements with team and founder. Based on these requirements and time in market for existing app proposition it was also prudent to complete competitor research.
Sprint planning undertaken, discussed and agreed (10 working days)
Clarify a look and feel within a short sprint framework (3 day), with daily workshops to discuss designs, schedule, deviations and sign-off
Check accessibility, review and fix. This enatiled a full review of all components and elements (existing) and report back on areas of deviation and required fixes were made in-flight during component build.
Return back a set of initial creative design propositions, within brief as well as visuals and thinking to push client in their thinking and direction (added value).
Teaching figma usage/basics of element and state design to client team, allowing for better understanding and basic amends moving forward.
Outcome
An enhanced visual look and feel, delivered on time and below budgeted allowance (7 days) saving 30% on project cost to client.
Full set of templated pages, elements and components delivered to developer team. These were designed, agreed, amended, reviewed, built and signed off.
Fully designed, built and delivered 'On-Boarding' journey including all paths, consisting of over 60 screens (Happy/unhappy). All elements and states were delivered as developer ready Figma files along with a working prototype for review.
Commendation for the creativity, push on thinking and delivery under time and budget.
